- After the November/December 2023 results are announced, all students will be automatically converted to the New Scheme.
- Study materials for the New Scheme can be ordered through CDS Portal for 500/- for Foundation students and 1000/- for Inter and Final students.
- Students can only take Self-Placed modules after completing the CA Inter Both Group Exams.
- Students who have passed the CA Inter Exams (eight papers) are exempt from the Self Placed Modules Sets C and D.
- Students who began practical training before June 30, 2023 will continue to do so for three years and will be entitled to 156 leaves.
- Students who have completed either group of the CA Inter but have not begun practical training will be permitted to begin practical training only after passing the Both group of the CA Inter and completing two years of practical training. Such student are only allowed 12 days of leave per year.
- Direct entrance students must finish an 8-month study period before taking the CA Inter examinations. Only after completing both groups of CA Inter, a student is allowed to start a two-year practical training programme and be eligible for 12 days of leave per year.
- If CA Final students fail to pass the Nov 2023 examinations, they will be automatically converted to New Scheme. Self-placed modules must be passed after passing exams but before applying for membership or being exempted, as the case may be.
- The CA Foundation course is valid for four years from the date of conversion and cannot be revalidated.
- The CA Inter course will be valid for 5 years from the date of conversion and can be revalidated once.
- CA Final course will be valid for 10 years from the date of conversion and can be revalidated after 10 years.
- A student can apply for a BAA certificate if he has passed both groups of CA Inter, has completed two years of practical training, has completed soft skill and information technology training, and has passed self-placed modules.
